GO: SHALA
Go:puja means worship of a cow (Go:ma:tha) along with her calf. Go:puja removes hardships of the people and blesses them with peace and happiness. It also enables a person to achieve control over his senses. Go:puja is equivalent to a pradakshinam around the earth, recitation of Vedas and worship of Lord Vishnu. Nurturing the cows has been a pleasure from the age of Shri Krishna. Yashodha Matha wasn’t wrong while she sang a warning note to Krishna with her “Maadu meikum kanne, ne poga vendam sonnen” because she knew the love the cow returns will make him forget the dawn and dusk. The lord inspired us in doing the chore that derives joy and delight only.
We took up the responsibility of nurturing our cows and aim at creating a hospitable environment:
- Dedicated staff working around-the-clock to ensure the safety and comfort of the cows
- Constant monitoring of their medical condition with a doctor-on-call available 24/7
- 2-acre grazing land for cows
- We feed organic grass, and a mix of leaves and stems from corn and wheat
- Go: Shala is cleaned regularly and sanitized
- Diary products produced are only used to feed to the calves and perform Abhishekam for deities (not for commercial sale)
